Celebrity Meltdown Over Basic Rules

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, Neverson was arrested early Sunday morning after an alleged physical altercation at Dramma Night Club. The incident reportedly occurred at approximately 4:00 a.m., when nightclub staff instructed patrons to leave as the venue closed for the night. Prosecutors allege that during the process of escorting patrons out, an employee made physical contact with Neverson’s arm, after which Neverson struck the worker in the face, causing swelling and pain.

Neverson was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court, where prosecutors outlined six charges: two counts of third-degree assault (intentional), one count of third-degree assault (reckless), aggravated harassment in the second degree, harassment in the second degree, and criminal mischief in the second degree. The criminal mischief charge relates to alleged damage to club property, including hookah equipment, DJ gear, and seating, with the total damage estimated at approximately $1,500, according to the charging documents.

Pattern of Violence and Legal Troubles

The arrest follows previous legal incidents involving Neverson in 2025. In July, he was accused of striking a cameraman during a separate confrontation at a Long Island nightclub, an incident reported by the New York Post and TMZ at the time. In September, Neverson reached a civil settlement in a sexual assault lawsuit that had sought $25 million in damages. The settlement was reached without an admission of wrongdoing, according to court filings and reporting by Rolling Stone.

The nightclub employee involved in the Manhattan incident was granted a temporary order of protection, standard in assault cases involving alleged physical injury, according to court records. Prosecutors characterized the alleged strike as unprovoked, while defense counsel disputes that characterization. The employee was performing assigned security and closing duties at the time of the incident, according to the criminal complaint.

Deflecting Responsibility Through Legal Spin

Neverson’s attorney, Mitchell Schuster, told reporters that the incident “began when Mr. Neverson was confronted by individuals who instigated a confrontation,” arguing that his client did not initiate violence. Schuster further stated that Neverson was targeted because of his public profile, suggesting the encounter escalated due to external provocation rather than intentional misconduct. These statements were reported by the New York Post following the arraignment.

Neverson pleaded not guilty to all charges and was released on his own recognizance, consistent with New York’s bail reform laws governing misdemeanor offenses. The court imposed standard conditions, including compliance with the order of protection. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 18, 2026, according to Manhattan Criminal Court records.
