Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) recently cited Vice President Kamala Harris’ 92% campaign staff turnover rate as a key example of her incompetence, saying it raises serious doubts about her ability to lead the nation. Speaking with Tucker Carlson on the Tucker Carlson Network, Vance argued that the unusually high turnover is a clear indication of leadership failure.
“If 92% of your team quits, there’s a serious problem,” Vance said. He questioned Harris’s ability to handle significant responsibilities, particularly in situations involving foreign policy or military conflict. According to Vance, the instability in her campaign should make voters wary of her potential presidency, as it shows a lack of leadership and vision.
During the interview, Vance also previewed the challenges he and President Donald Trump could face if they win the 2024 election. One major issue will be Trump’s proposed mass deportations, which Vance predicted would face strong opposition. He suggested that critics would attempt to frame the policy as “fascism in America.”
Another challenge that Vance highlighted was the potential for international bond markets to spike interest rates as a way to undermine the Trump administration. He emphasized the need to select a treasury secretary who could handle these pressures and work to stabilize the U.S. economy.
Vance’s conversation with Carlson is part of a broader discussion about the future of the Trump-Vance ticket and their policy goals. The two are scheduled to continue their dialogue in Hershey, Pennsylvania, as part of Carlson’s live tour, which has featured prominent conservative voices.
