Truth Social Experienced Traffic Surge As Trump Fact-Checked Biden

Former President Donald Trump’s social media company, Truth Social, recently reported having experienced a record volume of traffic as the former president fact-checked claims President Joe Biden made during his third State of the Union address.

Although Truth Social did not provide statistics as to the number of interactions the platform experienced, the social media company said the increase in users was so massive that some individuals were experiencing delays trying to use the platform at the beginning of Biden’s address.

Trump usually uses the platform to speak on political issues. Just the News pointed out that Truth Social is the only social media website that hosts content from the former president and Biden.

The former president’s first post regarding Biden’s State of the Union address cited the fact that the president was more than 10 minutes late for his speech before Congress.

Trump released dozens of posts on the platform during Biden’s speech, ranging from his critiques of the president’s policies to recommendations he made to lawmakers in attendance.

“He’s talking about Violence, but Migrant Violence is leading to the Worst Crime Wave in History!” one of Trump’s posts read.

“Don’t shake his hand, he’s been coughing into it the entire night!” another post stated.

Throughout his State of the Union address, Biden consistently referenced Trump, refusing to call the former president by name. Instead of speaking about his “accomplishments” for the U.S., Biden chose to be divisive by attacking his political opponent.

Upon the conclusion of Biden’s congressional speech, Trump took to Truth Social, where he said that the president’s speech was the “Angriest” and the “Worst” ever made in history.

“That may be the Angriest, Least Compassionate, and Worst State of the Union Speech ever made,” the former president wrote on the platform. “It was an Embarrassment to our Country!”

In his speech, the president went as far as to threaten the U.S. Supreme Court for its decision to send the issue of abortion back to the states on its ruling in Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

“In the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court majority wrote the following, and with all due respect, justices — ‘women are not without electoral or political power,’” Biden said.
