Trump’s Economic Policies Drive Apple To Expand US Operations

Apple is committing to a $500 billion investment in the U.S., marking a significant shift in its business strategy as President Donald Trump’s economic policies push companies to prioritize American manufacturing.

The company announced plans to build a 250,000-square-foot AI server factory in Texas, a facility expected to create thousands of jobs. This move comes as Apple seeks to reduce its dependence on overseas manufacturing, particularly in China, where its products face new tariffs imposed by Trump.

Apple’s new facility will assemble AI servers that power Apple Intelligence, the company’s AI-driven cloud computing system. Until now, these critical components were manufactured outside the U.S. In addition to the factory, Apple is doubling its Advanced Manufacturing Fund to $10 billion to boost domestic production, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing.

The company’s research and development expansion will add 20,000 jobs focused on AI, custom silicon and advanced technology. It is also launching a manufacturing academy in Michigan to help small businesses adapt to modern production techniques.

Apple’s move follows a broader trend of businesses shifting from high-regulation states like California to Texas. With Trump’s policies pressuring companies to invest in American jobs, Apple is now aligning itself with the administration’s push for a stronger domestic economy.
