Trump Commits To Overturning Biden’s Title IX Changes And Protecting Women’s Sports

Former President Donald Trump has vowed to prohibit men from competing in women’s sports and to reverse President Joe Biden’s Title IX revisions immediately upon his re-election. Trump made this commitment during an interview with Clay Travis and Buck Sexton on their radio show.

Clay Travis shared the update on X, noting, “President Trump just pledged to all of us on @clayandbuck that men will not be allowed to compete against women in sports when he is elected president. He promises to take care of it on day one and end Kamala and Biden’s new Title IX policies allowing this to happen.”

On Truth Social, Trump reiterated his position, declaring, “I WILL KEEP MEN OUT OF WOMEN’S SPORTS!”

This pledge follows recent controversy at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Italian boxer Angela Carini exited her bout against Algerian transgender boxer Imane Khelif within a minute. Khelif, disqualified from the 2023 world championships due to “XY chromosomes” and high testosterone levels, reignited debates about transgender athletes in women’s sports.

The Republican Party’s 2024 platform aligns with Trump’s promise, aiming to prevent trans-identifying males from competing in women’s sports, ban taxpayer funding for gender transition surgeries, and halt schools from promoting gender transition. These measures seek to undo Biden’s Title IX policies and safeguard women and girls in sports.

Trump’s position addresses a significant concern among conservative voters about the fairness and safety of women’s sports. Critics argue that biological males competing in women’s sports create unfair advantages, while advocates for inclusion argue for the rights of transgender individuals.

As the campaign season progresses, Trump’s firm stance on this issue is expected to appeal to voters who prioritize traditional values and gender distinctions in sports. His commitment to act “on day one” signifies his urgency and dedication to reversing policies he views as harmful to women’s sports.

Trump’s clear declaration marks a definitive policy direction, aiming to uphold the integrity of women’s sports and ensure competitive fairness, positioning him as a defender of female athletes and traditional gender norms.
