Trump Calls Debate ‘3 On 1’ As ABC Moderators Target Him, Not Harris

President Donald Trump accused ABC News moderators of creating a “three on one” debate environment during the first 2024 presidential showdown against Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump’s remarks came after moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis repeatedly fact-checked his statements while allowing Harris to make incorrect claims without pushback.

For example, when Trump stated that some states permit post-birth executions, Davis interrupted to deny the claim. However, when Harris falsely accused Trump of opposing in vitro fertilization, neither moderator corrected her. This discrepancy led Trump to comment after the debate on Truth Social that it felt like “three on one.”

Social media quickly erupted with support for Trump’s claim of bias. Donald Trump Jr. joined the conversation, highlighting the uneven fact-checking on X. Many conservatives pointed out that the moderators were more focused on challenging Trump than ensuring accuracy from both candidates.

The debate, held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, also saw Harris making veiled references to debunked claims about Trump’s remarks on Charlottesville and his treatment of servicemembers. These comments received no challenge from the moderators.

As the debate ended, Trump’s criticism of the media’s handling of the event gained traction, leaving many to wonder how future debates will be moderated as the 2024 election approaches.
