Rostov Oil Depot Hit by Ukrainian Drone Attack

A Ukrainian drone attack early Saturday morning set fire to an oil depot in Russia’s Rostov region. The blaze, which covered 200 square meters, was swiftly extinguished without any casualties, confirmed by Rostov Governor Vasily Golubev. This incident is part of Ukraine’s strategic campaign to target Russian supply infrastructure, aiming to disrupt Moscow’s war efforts.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported the interception of two drones over Rostov and additional drones over Kursk and Belgorod regions, indicating a significant increase in aerial engagements. Concurrently, Ukraine’s Air Force intercepted four out of five drones launched by Russia, with the fifth drone moving towards Belarus.

In other developments, civilian areas in Ukraine continue to suffer from the conflict. Russian attacks in the Donetsk region on Friday led to six deaths and 22 injuries, according to Governor Vadym Filashkin. In the Kherson region, Russian shelling resulted in one death and six injuries, as reported by Governor Oleksandr Prokudin. These events underscore the persistent danger and humanitarian impact on both sides of the conflict.

The ongoing exchange of drone attacks and the targeting of critical infrastructure highlight the sustained intensity of the Ukraine-Russia war, with both nations striving to gain strategic advantages amid escalating tensions.
