Intel Chairman Demands Indictment For ‘Serial Classified Document Hoarder’ Biden

During a CBS News interview on Sunday, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) explained that it was necessary for Congress to indict President Joe Biden over his retention of classified documents taken during his time as a senator and vice president — declaring him a “serial classified document hoarder.”

The comments came in response to a question from “Face The Nation” host Margaret Brennan, who asked about Turner’s recent statement that Biden should be treated the same as former President Donald Trump when it comes to their retention of classified material.

“Well, when you look at the documents, both the classification level and the subject matter, both sides, Trump and Biden’s documents, if they had been released in the public or gotten into the hands of nefarious parties, would be damaging to the United States national security,” Turner responded. “When I look at those documents, there are documents on both sides, equally egregious, that would have negative consequences to our means, methods, techniques and- and our allies. Now, in this instance, I think President Biden needs the same consequences that they pursue with President Trump. The actions are the same.”

Many conservatives have argued that Biden has been treated with “kid gloves” compared to Trump — despite the fact that Trump, as president, had the authority to declassify and retain documents, while Biden did not even have the right to remove classified documents as senator or vice president. While Trump had kept the classified documents in a secure room with a lock provided by the FBI, Biden had divided the documents between several locations — including the garage of his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where his son had access to them while working for foreign businesses.

Brennan then questioned Turner as to whether he believed Biden needed to be indicted — prompting the Ohio congressman to decry the “inequality” coming out of the Department of Justice (DOJ).

“You’re continuing to see the inequality that comes out of the Justice Department,” Turner said. “As there’s silence on the other side with respect to Biden’s — and by the way, he was a serial classified document hoarder. I reviewed documents that were from all the time that he’s been in government. This really is a very serious breach by President Biden.”

The CBS News host went on to ask whether Turner had personally seen evidence of a crime regarding the documents recovered from Biden — to which he responded, “Yes.”

“I have seen evidence of the fact that classified documents of some of the highest levels have been mishandled by President Biden,” he added.
