Hunter Biden To Be Sentenced For Federal Gun Charges On November 13

Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, is set to be sentenced on November 13 for federal gun charges, right after the election. He could face up to 25 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.

Hunter Biden was found guilty in June of making a false statement during a firearm purchase in 2018, lying about his drug use, and possessing a firearm as an unlawful user of addictive substances. President Biden has made it clear that he will not pardon his son.

Delaware US Attorney David Weiss stated, “This case was not just about addiction, a disease that haunts families across the United States, including Hunter Biden’s family. This case was about the illegal choices the defendant made while in the throes of addiction.”

Following his conviction, Hunter’s law license was suspended by the DC Bar. While he faces a maximum sentence of 25 years, his prison time may be less as he is a first-time offender.

Hunter Biden wrote in a statement, “I am more grateful today for the love and support I experienced this last week from Melissa, my family, my friends, and my community than I am disappointed by the outcome. Recovery is possible by the grace of God, and I am blessed to experience that gift one day at a time.”
