Kellyanne Conway, a prominent adviser during the Trump administration, has registered as a foreign agent to advocate for Ukraine. According to records from the National Security Division, Conway has agreed to a $50,000-a-month consultancy with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, starting July 25 and ending November 14.
Conway’s new role involves lobbying U.S. lawmakers in favor of Ukraine, organizing meetings between Ukrainian soldiers and U.S. political leaders, and encouraging participation in the Yalta European Strategy (YES) annual meeting. Her efforts aim to highlight Ukraine’s struggle against Russian aggression and to bolster American support.
The U.S. has consistently supported Ukraine with around $175 billion in aid since the Russian invasion began in February 2022. Conway’s involvement is intended to enhance this support by increasing awareness and engagement among U.S. policymakers.
Conway, who served as senior counselor to President Trump from 2017 to 2020, is well-positioned to influence U.S. lawmakers and rally support for Ukraine. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s decision to enlist her underscores the importance of strategic lobbying in maintaining international alliances.
