Evidence Suggests Thomas Crooks Had Help In Assassination Attempt On Trump

Recent findings have raised serious questions about the possibility that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the shooter who attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, had assistance. Crooks, who was killed by a Secret Service sniper, was found with a bomb detonator and explosives, despite no evidence of him researching how to assemble such devices.

Investigators discovered a cell phone and a bomb detonator next to Crooks’ body, as reported by WPXI. Exclusive photos obtained by Channel 11’s Nicole Ford show the items found moments after Crooks was shot. These findings, coupled with explosives found in Crooks’ car, suggest a level of sophistication that Crooks likely could not have achieved alone.

CNN reported that law enforcement officials have found no online search history indicating that Crooks researched how to make homemade explosives. This absence of evidence raises suspicions that Crooks had external help in planning and executing the attack.

Additionally, Crooks was able to enter the rally with a rangefinder, a tool commonly used by snipers to measure distances accurately. The ease with which he accessed a rooftop and took aim at Trump further suggests that someone might have provided him with the necessary information and equipment.

Crooks reportedly bought a 5-foot ladder from Home Depot on the morning of the attack. However, the ladder found at the scene was larger, raising questions about how Crooks knew he needed a ladder and whether someone else provided it.

The assassination attempt, which resulted in a bullet grazing President Trump’s ear and injuring other rally attendees, has highlighted significant security lapses. Trump’s defiance in the face of danger, raising his fist and shouting “Fight! Fight! Fight!” as he was escorted to safety, was widely noted.

While the media has portrayed Crooks as a lone wolf and domestic terrorist, the complexity of the attack and the presence of sophisticated equipment suggest that he did not act alone. The investigation continues as authorities seek to uncover any accomplices who may have assisted Crooks in his attempt to assassinate Trump.
