Kellyanne Conway former adviser to President Donald Trump has called on the former president and his wife Melania to vote early in Florida on the first day they are eligible. In an appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday Conway expressed her belief that Trump’s actions will influence his supporters to follow suit.
“I hope President Trump and Mrs. Trump will go and vote early in Florida on the first day they’re eligible to vote early because when the lion roars the others will follow” Conway said. “His voters will say ‘oh well now President Trump went early I can too.'”

Conway’s comments come as she acknowledged the need for Republicans to adapt to early voting or risk dying politically. She stated that while she doesn’t like early voting if it is the new normal the party must adjust to remain competitive.
Trump recently encouraged his supporters to make a plan register and vote using various options including absentee voting and early voting. This marks a shift from his previous criticism of mail-in ballots which he claimed led to crooked elections.
The changing attitudes towards early voting among prominent Republicans reflect the evolving voting patterns of the American electorate. In the 2020 Presidential Election mail-in balloting and early voting saw significant increases while Election Day in-person voting decreased.

Conway emphasized the importance of securing votes from elderly voters who may rely on mail-in systems stating that she wants “that sucker’s vote in October.”
