Burrito Bowl Fight: Woman Throws Food After Order Dispute

A dispute over a missing ingredient in a burrito bowl resulted in an assault at a Chipotle restaurant in Washington, D.C., when a woman threw a bowl at employee Roberto Hernandez. The incident began when the woman received her UberEats order, which was missing meat and condiments. She went to the Chipotle location to demand a refund, but was told the refund had to be processed through UberEats.

Frustrated with the response, the woman went behind the counter and attempted to serve herself two new burrito bowls. Hernandez tried to stop her by grabbing one of the bowls, but the woman retaliated by slamming the bowl into his face. Hernandez, opting not to escalate the situation, walked away from the confrontation.

In a later interview, the woman admitted her actions were wrong but still defended her behavior. She explained that once her food was taken by the staff, she believed she had the right to retrieve new food. She also claimed that “men” at the store had previously assaulted her, further fueling her anger.

Chipotle confirmed it would be filing a police report about the incident. Hernandez, shaken by the assault, requested increased security at the restaurant. The woman has since threatened to sue Chipotle over the incident, although her behavior has sparked widespread outrage.
