Biden Mocks Trump At White House Correspondents’ Dinner Amid Pro-Palestine Protests

President Joe Biden used his speech at the White House correspondents’ dinner to mock his presumptive 2024 challenger former President Donald Trump’s age while assuring attendees of his own health and vitality. The dinner which took place at the Washington Hilton was marred by anti-Israel demonstrators who accosted attendees as they entered the venue.

“The 2024 election is in full swing. And yes. Age is an issue. I’m a grown man running against a 6-year-old,” Biden said referring to Trump. “I feel great I feel really great. I’m campaigning all over the country. Pennsylvania Georgia North Carolina — I’ve always done well in the original 13 colonies.”

The president also took several jabs at himself recounting a story from the 2022 White House correspondents’ dinner when his wife expressed concern about his speech. “I said to her ‘Don’t worry it’s just like riding a bike. She said ‘that’s what I’m worried about,'” Biden joked referring to the time he fell off a bike in Delaware.

Outside the venue anti-Israel demonstrators chanted inflammatory phrases and accused attendees of supporting terrorism. Videos shared online show protestors chanting anti-Biden slogans and yelling “Shame on you!” at celebrities and journalists as they walked through a gauntlet to enter the venue.

Olympic gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner condemned the protestors’ actions on social media calling them “Terrorist sympathizers and the Hamas lovers.” George Washington University Law School Professor Jonathan Turley pointed out that several demonstrators tossed fake blood and yelled obscenities at attendees as they entered and exited the venue.
