Another Billion For Ukraine While American Needs Go Unmet

The Biden government plans to deliver $1.25 billion more in military aid to Ukraine next week, prioritizing a foreign conflict over the struggles of American citizens. This announcement comes as President-elect Donald Trump’s DOGE initiative seeks to cut waste and ensure taxpayer dollars benefit Americans first.

The package will include munitions for advanced air defense systems, Stinger missiles, and artillery rounds. Using the presidential drawdown authority, the administration will expedite these transfers, leaving just $4.35 billion of the Pentagon’s Ukraine allocation. Since February 2022, U.S. aid to Ukraine has exceeded $64 billion, enough to rebuild crumbling roads and bridges across the country.

This funding decision comes as Ukraine’s forces report successful interceptions of Russian missile attacks on power grids. However, escalating combat near the Russian border region threatens broader conflict. Rather than encouraging de-escalation, the Biden administration continues fueling the fire with American resources.

Ukraine, plagued by corruption, will undoubtedly direct this new influx of weapons to serve its elites. Meanwhile, U.S. veterans are left to fend for themselves, and Americans are forced to fund a foreign war that could lead to nuclear catastrophe.

The $1.25 billion package is just one part of Biden’s ongoing financial commitment to Ukraine. Another $1.2 billion for longer-term weapons contracts under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative is expected by year’s end, further benefiting defense contractors over struggling Americans.

At a time when American families face economic hardship, the administration continues prioritizing Ukraine’s war machine over its own citizens’ well-being.
